I would like more history of his life. From his campaign it appeared as if he was overall the most intelligent and state-of-the-art
educated candidate. His experience it appeared lent to applying his education to our country, not to just our military. The most attractive thing was that he would speak his mind no matter what, which means he has no allegiances or lobbyists expecting his performance. I firmly believe he is the only savvy candidate whn it comes to understanding how Karl Rove deceived the public and how to use the same resources to win without deception. It also appeared that his success in Kosovo and his relationship with Bill Clnton made him an outcast with the right wing Armed Forces... His tactics in Kosovo were brilliant, and in no way would such a shrewd mind not be able to adapt new thinking for success for this country as a whole. His demeanor would gain immediate respect from countries throughout the world, we would gain new alliances, abilities to work with consensus again etc. etc. The right-wing media could not bad-mouth him in direct interviews as he s too shrewd and direct and more thoroughly knowledgeable than any of the commentators themselves. |

It doesn’t take a Disaster.....
To be catastrophe in one’s life Decriminalize Homelessness-Final Chapter-(Part2) Homeless people have all had something tragic to compel the need to change a lifestyle to such desperate measures of living homelessly. The looting and crimes committed in New Orleans typifies (one type of reaction in desperation). Going into survival mode gives you a different sense of values and different people react in different ways, just as people who try to help do as well. Those with inappropriate behavior... were inappropriate before becoming homeless. It is not appropriate to blame all the homeless for a specific behavior of a few. The tragedy that the victims of Katrina are dealing with is traumatic obviously, but not so obvious is how equally traumatic becoming homeless without being preceded by a disaster is still a slow loss… losing life, property, life’s worth in general not necessarily with less physical damage or starling impact, but wearing constantly and equally disconcerting. Especially as the despair accumulates and is often overwhelming. When depression sets in to enhance the decision making process, we're all aware of some of those results...go figure! Different people react in different ways to the same circumstances. Typically, the government will come up with the wrong solution for a given problem. Thousands of homeless folks who have been trying to live within their means best they can with obstacles most people hopefully will never have to find out how they would deal with. Some folks have been for years, now a new law is put into place all over the country. This law makes it a crime to be homeless!! It will be interesting to see how this plays out with Katrina’s victims being scattered throughout the country. In my community (Sonoma County, Calif.) they’ll get charged with a crime for sleeping in a car, etc. with up to $500 fine and/or 6 months in jail!!... How wrong is that!!?! (A local government rep. explained the new law as something about it supposed to be an attempt at a “reduction strategy”!?? !? There is a difference between doing something about the homeless and doing something for the homeless. It is counter productive to make it a crime for just being a victim of... and (the focus for solution should be about) the economical imbalances and costs of housing... creating a crime has not been solving anything. It skirts around the abolishment of the former vagrancy laws, and is violating Civil Rights. Homeland Security has been taken way out on the limb. They have recently promoted that they suspect terrorists are disguising themselves as homeless so now it will probably be open season just being stereotyped!? Any caring person will challenge this new “big brother” mentality with Gestapo type tactics already being exercised. And Barbara Bush, our president’s mother, inadvertently divulged (most likely) the entire Bush family’s sentiment by saying that the victim’s of Katrina were underprivileged anyway... and are better off…(?!) Now what could that have meant...?? ... An obvious Freudian slip...!?? Read my lips..... No new Bushes !!! I am... John Doe Homeless JohnDoeHouseless@Yahoo.com ![]() |
